2017 Marks DelDOT’s 100th Birthday!

Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) turns 100 this year and on the House floor we thanked all of their employees for the work they do to keep us safe on the roads.

I was proud to sponsor two pieces of legislation to promote more efficiency within the department. One bill better defined DelDOT’s property rights and another addressed signing provisions for the DMV, to develop more efficient means of serving customers. Thank you to Secretary Cohen for her leadership and partnership!

May 2017: School Nutrition Employee Week

Healthy meals invigorate kids and help prepare them for the school day.

I’m happy that we had a chance to thank the employees who make those healthy meals for our children during the school day with a resolution to make the first week of May School Nutrition Employee Week. It’s important to get kids off to a good start during the school day – which is why I sponsored legislation that called for schools to offer a breakfast program for students.
